Christmas Wishlist

At cell last week, we wrote down our Christmas wishes on a shiny piece of card paper. Thought I'd jot it down here too!
  1. For my P6 students to graduate well and move on to a good Secondary school
  2. Keyboard/Piano (A Korg would be great!)
  3. Spending money for gifts
  4. Digital Camera (My Canon has served me well and is retired)
  5. At least 3 days of rest in great weather like today! Blue skies, windy with glorious sun.
  6. A good massage (I really need one) & quality sleep
  7. A good change in my work - something that I'll still love
  8. Quality time with the people I love
  9. To finish & graduate from my Grad Dip with good results
  10. A miracle in my life

O, tidings of comfort & joy... Comfort & Joy! O, tidings of comfort & joy!

My mind has been drifting, longing for moments of peace. The hints of Christmas in sight reminds me of my time overseas. Quiet strolls along streets of autumn leaves and snuggling into my warm winter coat as I walked NC, Washington, St Louis and NY.

I'm tempted to think that I was made to travel. I dream big dreams of working overseas. In foreign lands with rich cultures where life is simple, people content. I want to teach English in a developing country or wait tables in a small cafe in Greece or Italy. I want to spend my weekends sitting out on a jetty, dipping my feet in cool clear water, overlooking a blue sky and mountains in the background or scoot around Greek islands, or sail out into clear open water...

Will I ever get to realize my dreams?

Night Invader

Last night, whilst brushing my teeth, I was just looking around my bathroom (don't ask me why.) and spotted this little intruder! Personally, I hate lizards! Especially the big fat black looking ones. Eeeeks!! Ok don't let the picture fool you. Unfortunately, my camera isn't good enough to capture its true colour which was light brown.

For a moment I thought it was rather cute. The little bugger clinging onto the ceiling. So I thought to myself, "Ok no harm done. Its just staying there, not moving around so will just let it be". And I switched off the lights and went to bed. Next morning, I checked the corner and my hanger to see if it lingered through the night to daybreak but it was gone.

Tonight, it came back again!! I'm thinking it has found itself a nice cosy spot for the night after day escapades who knows where. So, I decided to blog it. If it comes back tomorrow night, I shall think of a name for the little bugger.

Oh wells. As long as it remains small and light brown.
